The Office Professional certificate program will prepare you for a variety of in-demand careers, including Administrative Assistant, Secretary, Office Assistant, Records Clerk, and more. Attend lecture in the morning and complete required lab hours on campus in the afternoon.

This program includes: Computer Applications Training, Business Office Training, Career Connections, as well as, an externship in a business office. This course is Pell Grant  and WIOA eligible.

Program objectives

  • Provide opportunities to gain, update, and improve technical and clerical workplace skills. 
  • Prepare students for general office positions such as secretary or administrative assistant. 
  • Develop employment competencies commonly required in business offices.

program requirements for graduation

  • Meet the minimum attendance requirements.
  • Satisfactorily complete all assignments.
  • Maintain at least an 80% on skills, assignments, assessments, and participation.
  • Obtain a minimum keyboarding speed of 35 nwpm.
  • Successfully completes a clinical externship.
